The SEQRET consortium met for their regular face-to-face meeting at CESNET in Prague, Czech Republic.
The discussions were organized in smaller breakout sessions, focusing on business impact of photonic integrated circuits (PICs), secure operation of QKD devices and the associated total cost of ownership as well as suitable network architectures for QKD.
The partners also used the chance to perform a live demonstration of the QKD system. It was connected to CESNET’s local network of buried fibers and performed well after a setup period of a few minutes.
The second day was used to discuss how QKD and key management systems could fit into a joint trusted node architecture.
